As Lutheran Christians, we pattern our worship on the ancient liturgies of the western Church. Faith is a great singing congregation, joining our voices with a variety of instruments and many participants. We hear from the Scriptures centered on the Gospel texts throughout the Church Year. People of all ages serve as worship stewards and leaders, setting the tone of community participation from the foundation of Word and Sacrament and every baptism is a community celebration. The liturgy changes with the season and gives richness and depth to the worship experience.

MUSIC IN WORSHIP
- Martin Luther -
"Next to the Word of God, the noble art of music
is the greatest treasure in the world."
Chancel ChoirThe chancel choir rehearses on Thursday evenings, September through May and sing every Sunday during this time. If you are not an experienced singer, do not worry, we can help you develop your skills. Click the link below to contact the music director.
InstrumentalsA variety of musical instruments are used to enhance worship at Faith, most often during the Advent/Christmas and Lent/Easter seasons. A fair bit of experience is necessary to join this group and include instrumentalists from middle school on up. Click on the link below to contact the music director.
Adult HandbellsHandbells is a group of adult and youth ringers that rehearse one or two Saturdays a month between September and June. Our ringers have a variety of skill levels and we play music that provides a challenge for those who like it and smaller challenges for those who are new to ringing. Children's ChoirChildren’s Choir rehearses every Sunday morning that Sunday School is in session. We welcome all children who like to sing. We sing about once each month during the 10:30 service. Click the link below to contact the music director.
Liturgical DancersDancers participate a few times each year and most are preschool and early elementary age. Most dances are easily learned in one or two rehearsals. Click the link below to contact the music director.
Youth HandbellsYouth bells rehearse after the 10:30 worship service each week, September – May. Most children begin to play bells when they reach the third or fourth grade, as height is a factor in seeing music on the stands. You do not have to be able to read music to ring bells – you will learn along the way. Click the link below to contact the music director.
CHILDREN IN WORSHIP
- Mark 10:14 -
Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.
Here at Faith we encourage children to join their parents at the regular worship services of the community. By participating in this way, children learn about the centrality of worship for daily life. Children are welcome at the Holy Communion table to receive a blessing or bread and wine.
There are bags of soft toys and coloring materials available at the back of the Sanctuary. Children's bulletins are available from the ushers. Children who need respite can be taken, by an adult, to the Cry Room at the back of the Sanctuary.
Supervised child care is available during worship in the child care room on the social hall level for toddlers who are walking up to children in kindergarten. Parents are asked to sign-in and to let the provider know where they will be seated in the sanctuary, in case they are needed. There are diaper changing stations in the men's and women's restrooms on both levels. The child care provider will come get you if your child needs a diaper change.
