3 Year Olds - 5th Grade
Sunday School is intertwined with worship. Following the children’s sermon, children will gather with their teachers to do a lesson or activity, and return to worship at the time of communion.
Following the pandemic, we understand that energy levels and attention spans have shifted and we feel this is a way for us to gather and learn, while honoring the time and energy of our young families.
Confirmation can begin in 6th grade with confirmands typically affirming their baptism in their 9th grade year. That said, some youth choose to start later or spend more time understanding their faith. The main focus of confirmation is understanding certain concepts of the Lutheran faith, learning intentional practices of daily faith, forming relationships, and asking hard meaningful questions. Faith is a lifelong journey. Confirmation is meant to be a time to develop different skills and tools for lifelong faith.
2023-2024 Confirmands will gather in a "workshop" style learning environment. More information to come!
Youth are invited to participate in all aspects of church life and leadership. However, getting together for time with peers at church is also important. The high school youth spend time connecting via service projects, pizza discussion nights, and fellowship activities.
