MISSION SUPPORT

Each year we give money to the Northwest Washington Synod, the ELCA, and five organizations we select through nomination and balloting. Benevolence dollars are divided as follows: 30% to Northwest Washington Synod, 20% to the ELCA, and the other 50% divided between 5 selected organizations, with $2000 reserved to be dispersed through our Social Concerns Committee.

OTHER ACTIVE MINISTRIES

Blood Drives: You have the opportunity to give the gift of life three times a year at Faith.  

Donation Station:  Faith collects items YEAR ROUND for organizations and shelters in the greater Seattle area. Click Here for more information and a complete list of items.

Faith Lutheran Church Women: This group has two regular Bible Studies each month and is very active making quilts, and collecting supplies for School and Baby Kits which are distributed through Lutheran World Relief.

Winter Shelter: Lake City Partners works with churches to offer a hot meal and a warm place to sleep for those without shelter during the winter months. Faith hosts several months each winter.

Ailanga School: In the summer of 2004, 17 students and chaperones journeyed to Tanzania answering an invitation to visit the Ailanga Lutheran Junior Seminar. They experienced an incredibly warm and gracious welcome as they worked and played together. What was learned, or reaffirmed, is that we are bound together by the hopes and dreams we have for our children. They fell in love with the students, teachers and staff at Ailanga. The trip marked the start of a partnership that continues today. Teams continue to travel to Ailanga every two or three years.
